Water Conservation – Jal Sanchayan

Through its flagship initiative Jal Sanchayan, PHD Rural Development Foundation (PHDRDF) addresses India’s growing water challenges by promoting sustainable water management and conservation practices. Operating across Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh, the program focuses on constructing rainwater harvesting structures such as check dams, ponds, and recharge shafts to enhance groundwater levels and ensure year-round water availability.

By integrating climate-resilient agriculture, capacity building, and community participation through Village Water Committees and Farmer Interest Groups, PHDRDF empowers rural communities to improve farm productivity, restore ecological balance, and build resilience against drought and migration.

PHDRDF Water Management is a strategic initiative dedicated to sustainable water resource management. It enhances water accessibility, promotes efficient usage, and implements innovative solutions to tackle water scarcity. By collaborating with communities and stakeholders, PHDRDF aims for impactful, long-term improvements in water conservation and distribution.

The program focuses on sustainable management and conservation, addressing scarcity through innovation, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. By promoting efficient practices and awareness, PHDRDF ensures a reliable, clean water supply for future generations.
